Using filo

I featured these filo cigars stuffed with ricotta on tv this week and you can find the recipe on Littlerock .

Filo pastry is such a good alternative to other pastries. Did you know it contains 299 calories per 100g as opposed to puff pastry with 598 per 100g? And you need to use a lesser quantity of filo to make a crust. I love it as an ingredient and prefer the refrigerated variety to the frozen one as it does not seem to dry out so quickly.

I am just listening to Maya Angelou’s caged bird rapping and on Littlerock you can also find a translation of these beautiful lyrics by writer and poet Patrick Sammut.
